and by "clean" I mean generally devoid of drugs, binge drinking, obnoxious behavior (CB being the exception of course), etc.
That unique environment is attractive to at least SOME athletes —not to mention their influential parents— who want to FOCUS on education/graduation and/or their athletic career. I think the recruiting staff is smartly positioning the BYU environment as a positive, as opposed to apologizing for it. BYU is not for everyone.
