Another remote outside possibility would be if the B1G champion finished as the fifth highest conference champion and didn’t get a bye. Don’t see it as likely but in some years where you have a 3 loss team win the B1G championship game that could potentially happen if the G5 team was undefeated and took the 4th seed.
