The officials immediately ruled TD, so the ball either needed to:
A) Been immediately recovered by UCF for a TD
B) Been immediately recovered by ISU for a touchback
or
C) Rolled out of bounds for a touchback, ISU ball.
Instead it just died in the end zone and nobody touched it. Since the ball came to rest in the field of play and nobody touched it, it went back to the spot of the fumble.

Very good point. Had the ball rolled a yard farther right it would have been a touchback and ISU's ball.
