He’s making mistakes, to be sure, but I’d wager the plan was never for him to start. So his reps and the game planning have up until recent been for Rising. Add to that teams are stacking the box and blitzing like crazy. Add to that the fact that the Utes offense is not the same style he played in high school, plus there’s something very wrong / off with the overall offense this year. Bad coaching? Bad play calling? Teammates missing assignments? I’m not sure. But The deck is stacked against him.

Anyway, I think that Whittingham is going to blow things up this week to try and jump start the offense. No idea what that will look like but the offense can’t get much worse than it is now. If they dont figure things out they may not win another game.
