The 4 times BYU actually succeeded in recruiting a highly recruited QB, the results were less then stellar. Here are the four elite recruits based on ranking:
Ben Olsen
Jake Heaps
Tanner Magnum
Jacob Conover
All the other QB recruits were 3 stars and below. They were challenged finding players who were not only good enough, but adaptable enough to survive the BYU environment. The challenge is real.
Yes with the added weight of being in a power conference and more money to throw at recruiting even interest in NIL, the odds of landing a highly recruited LDS QB goes up, however this isn't an ARod problem. It's a BYU problem and always has been. If the LDS stars upon thars QBs keep flouting BYU overtures, than as with most any year we hope that the guys being successfully recruited are capable of shining on the field. Currently that would be
McCae Hillstead
Cole Hagen
Noah Lugo
Enoch Watson
Carson Suesue
