I had asked a girl in my ward at BYU to go to the men's volleyball game. I had an all-sports pass, but she did not. Being a cheap college student, instead of buying her a ticket, I just took my roommates all-sports pass and was just going to pass it off. We had gone to several other sporting events in similar fashion, where one friend didn't have a pass so we borrowed one and none of the ticket-takers ever checked the names.
So, we show up and my date asks if I am worried they check the ticket name and see that she would not easily pass for a "Roger". I told her not to worry, as they never check the names anyways.
Show up to the line, I had the ticket taker my pass, he scans it, looks at it and says "Welcome to the game, Marek".
...He's checking the names...
In probably the quickest thinking I've ever done in my life, when he went to go and scan my date's pass, I ask him which way the student section was, as I wasn't sure where to sit. He looks up to point in the direction and gives me a quick instruction where to go. While he is doing this, I brush the card up to the scanner, it beeps, I pull the card back into my pocket, grab my date's hand and immediately start walking that direction. I tell the attendant "Thank you" and just start walking with my date and never looked back.
