It just has lazy writing and tries to make too many references to the original
movies.

Gandalf, Tom, and the Balrog all shouldn’t be in the show if we’re sticking to the timeline of when the show takes place.

Too many things happen, especially in the last episode that are just so convenient.

Like what on earth was written on that scroll that so easily convinced all of Numenor that Sauron helped Muriel?

Are the orcs real that dumb to just let the dwarves waltz in to the city and ambush them? Couldn’t at least get some shots of them fighting their way to save the elves?

Galadriel fighting Sauron? Really? That was just fan service. And Sauron is so dumb that he takes the 9 rings and then asks Galadriel to hand over the elven one willingly? Like just force it off her hand and kill her. And then Galadriel is able to survive such a fall off cliff? It’s all just lazy writing.

Another issue is scale. Like why does it seem that Eregion only has about 30 eleves walking around? And you mean to tell me that they don’t have any scouts of their own warning them of an approaching orc army? They are totally unaware until fire balls start raining down on them. Just makes the eleves look like weak, unprepared, idiots.

How many times are the same 30 people of Numenor going to flip flop on who is king/queen?

I think the visuals and acting in the show is good, but it’s just bad, lazy writing. If you didn’t know the title of LOTRs was associated with the show, I bet most people would have 0 interest. It’s the name attached that brings viewers, not the actual quality of the show itself.
