Appreciate all the responses. Everyone thinks I’m crazy for starting at my age.
Already have a masters degree and a successful career in tech, but I just don’t find joy in it. I always wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, but was put off by the time investment. Ironically, I ended up investing a similar number of years into my education path anyway, but I didn’t realize that at the time I faced that fork in the road.

I don’t fear the work (already used to tech startup 60-70 hour weeks), nor the financial investment at this stage. I worry I may not be as sharp and quick to learn now as I would have been 10-15 years ago. That, and being the only odd “old” dude in the class, but I’ll just have to get over that.
