Gma's 1st husband's throat was slit by the new barber in town

GGGMa joined the church and was threatened by her alcoholic husband. To escape she disguised herself and slipped aboard a ship bound for America. She never actually divorced that husband, she just disappeared. Later she remarried in Utah and had children. There is still some question on the legitimacy of that second marriage. She may have been the inspiration for one of the 17 miracles in the movie, I'm not sure.
