Scalley, by all accounts of people I know, who know him, is a good guy. Whit isn't necessarily a bad guy, but he's a dipstick who doesn't care one bit what anyone else thinks and so he ends up being a bully of sorts. Scalley isn't like that, but the culture at that program is Whit's - so what does Scalley do to hold Ludwig accountable, or other d coaches? Is he going to bring the hammer down and be a jerk like Whit? Or is he going to bring his own personality and stamp to the program?

Obviously I don't really know very much at all about things up there, but some of the culture is obvious. Will Scalley be able, or even want, to keep it the way it is? Maybe it could go the other way and he decides to go all in on an offensive changeover and allow the offense to take risks? Sort of doubt that because he's a defensive guy at heart.

I have no point in all that rambling, other than to think out loud that you're right, it will be interesting to see how it goes.
