I think anyone thinking that players intentionally do this just don't understand

Football play or football players.

There's no way players start going around intentionally trying to target players like an intentional PI because they know it's an ejection.

These are bang-bang plays. You decrease them by teaching technique and practice but they will NEVER go away, completely. Too much is happening.

No one is thinking, in The moment, "lower my head 2 inches, place it in the QBs face mask" it just happens. And they won't start doing it if we got rid of ejections.
