I was in the same boat as you 5 years ago. It felt like a part of me was dying. I could have kept working and
stockpiling, but am SO GLAD I retired when I did! I do a little consulting on the side, but I'm in control of workload. At some point the money isn't worth it if you're comfortable enough financially
