Yeah parents are the worst, I'm not sure I will coach again next season. We lost a close game on saturday and a parent

was pretty vocal about how they felt from the stands. Their son isn't a starter but played a lot on defense and played all of special teams. He got way more that the required 10 plays but they were complaining from the stands. My son plays RB/LB and their son (who is the smallest player on the team) plays WR/DB, but at this age most offenses are pretty run heavy. We actually tried throwing quite a bit but our QB threw a few INTs and had a lot of incompletions, but they were upset that my son touched the ball more than their son. To be honest in a close game subbing players wasn't top of mind and I should have done a better job. I reached out to apologize and the dad sent a text telling me to save my sorrys and basically went on to tell me how I suck as a coach, play favorites, and have ruined football for his son. His son has told us multiple times he doesn't know the plays and doesn't want to go in on offense but I don't think he tell his parents that. Overall I think most of the parents felt like their boys had a good season and enjoyed playing. I just hate when parents complain about a volunteer coach. I spent 8-10 hours a week at games and practices and countless hours doing stuff for football outside of those.
