This is good advice. My six-year-old is already asking us if he can quit cello
to focus more on soccer.
That's a non-starter for us, but his interests and dedication will certainly ebb and flow over the years. Best to always maintain some balance unless their own passions and interests start to align on music (or sports or art, etc.)
