I love Kauai and would choose that island over any other.  It's the smallest, the quietest and, in my opinion, the easiest to relax on.

Oahu has several tourist attractions which are cool (eg Pearl Harbor), but Honolulu is busy, crowded and kind of a pain.

Maui and the Big Island have their on unique feature as well.  Just depends on what you want.
