I would suggest just the opposite, if you're interested in Norway, DON'T cruise. Cruising will only give you a surface level appreciation for this beautiful place. Another question I would ask is, are you an adventurer...do you like to hike, bike, kayak, etc. If so, then definitely don't cruise Norway. We just got back 3 weeks ago and it was an epic 10 days. Flew into Bergen, then immediately took a flight up to the Lofoten Islands (a must do...the very best part of our trip...half of the pics you see about Norway are from up there.). We then came back to Bergen and did the Bergen - Songefjord areas for 5 days. In both places...so many insanely beautiful hikes. So many excellent restaurants.

There was another post about Iceland v. Norway. I've been to Iceland multiple times and I would put it ahead of Norway personally. The raw and rugged beauty of Iceland is poetic. That's not to dimish Norway. Add Switzerland to it and you have my 3 favorite European countries.
