And that implies that not everyone is going to make the high school team.  That's ok.  Making a varsity team requires hard work, athletic skill and a little bit of "right place, right time". High School sports are an excellent place to learn lots of lessons about winning and losing, but also about dealing with success and disappointment. And sometimes that lesson comes in either making the team or getting cut.
