I realize you may still not agree with the practice. And hey, fair enough man. There may even be a valid conversation to be had whether or not things should be that way. But given the prevelance of litigation and malpractice..sounds like that's the way it is. Even if there's an valid arguement it shouldn't be.
Your response is passive-aggressive. You asked an honest question. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they're giving you an honest response. Even if you still disagree.
I've been juggling some health stuff myself. Personally, I'd definitely pay for peace of mind. Get that thing tested IMHO.
