So my summer job in college was coaching volleyball camps during the summer. My company would send us to a different high school every week all across the country.
I’d always do dumb “get to know you” questions to the group, and I would always ask, “what do you want to be when you grow up.”
Probably 80% of the kids would say a streamer, YouTuber, TikToker, or some other sort of influencer.
This was five years ago, but I still do these types of questions to my Sunday school class. Same thing: they all want to be YouTubers or something else like that when they grow up. That doesn’t require you to go to school, and a lot of times, it doesn’t even require you to be smart. You just have to do stuff that people will watch, and watching people do dumb stuff is entertaining.
Then, of the kids who don’t want to do YouTube, they want to be “entrepreneurs,” aka, drop out of college and start their own business by selling crap online or something.
