That's possible. That would be the most generous conclusion. I agree, it doesn't matter but criticizing Rising
the way BYU fans do is silly. This was preventable in the moments leading up to it, but I don't believe any contact after the sideline is justifiable...it looks bad for a reason.
In reality, great teams make the most of these situations. I think Wilson got valuable game reps. Utah can game plan around his strengths and weaknesses for must wins in the future.
Rising and the other banged up players can rest up and heal for a key part of the season between now and the next bye.
Then rest up again for the most critical games in that last Nov stretch with BYU, ISU, UCF.
