I want to clarify something. I am not saying that I'd be disappointed if BYU were to play Notre Dame in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Frankly, I think that would be incredible and an awesome success for the season, especially considering what expectations were in July.

My post was intended to be a philosophical question. At what point is it appropriate to change expectations? At what point, as a fan with no real say or real stake in the outcome of the games and season, do I transition from "just make a bowl game" to "win at least 8" to "win a conference championship" to something more?

Believe me, I'm enjoying this ride. Sundays have become very fun days the past 5 weeks.
