Preseason favorites were Kansas St, Utah, Kansas, Arizona, Oklahoma St and maybe UCF as a dark horse.

All of those teams besides Utah have looked pretty terrible in at least one game.

And in exchange for 5 of those 6 falling off, you have BYU who has legitimately looked good, and Iowa St who is currently struggling with Houston.

If we're looking for teams that could make the playoffs without winning the conference... we're really down to BYU and Utah. And maybe Iowa St.

I don't think either Utah or BYU makes of through unscathed, but at this exact moment, they're the two top teams
