And then attending a basketball game in that very gym just hours later that night, where they played "worldly music" before the game, at timeouts, during halftime, etc. And everyone loved it, even though many of the same people had just attended the same devotional as me.

Was a bit cognitive dissonance inducing. I justified it by saying to myself, well we believe in modest dress but need to put on a swimsuit for diving competitions. Same with this music? But then I realized, everyone knew the words to the songs, so they obviously weren't only listening during athletic events. Ah the mind of a young adult!:)
