That BYU and its students were innocent. She was the only journalist who covered the story that didn’t offer a retraction. And she was one of only a few to interview her directly. It would have taken her less than a minute to offer a tweet apologizing or at least acknowledging that there was no evidence of racist language.

Most of the journalists and BYU were very professional in correcting/clarifying without calling the lying girl and her racist grandmother out. Holly chose not to despite being repeatedly asked to. This is not a “victim mentality” or “persecution complex” thing. We were very much persecuted nationwide (mercilessly) and were absolutely victims of a hoax that did damage to the good name of the university. Holly was a big part of that hoax and did nothing to correct it. Virtually every other journalist did.
