Gives Utah a TD.
Our next four possessions end with him throwing INTs. We go from a 27-24 game to a 48-24 loss.
I don't want to discredit Max, but the mythology of his 'clutch' gene is odd. He didn't really 'come through' in 2007 - Utah's DB flatout blew a coverage. He still had to deliver the ball there, but never could have happened without a blown coverage.
If BYU's D hadn't come through on EVERY possession against OU, it wouldn't have mattered that Max came through on the last one. Would have been like a 32-7 loss to TCU where the last possessions didn't matter.
Max's signature wins were defensive wins. That's different than all the other BYU greats.
