My wife and I moved from California to St George a few years ago. We built a house an and made room for my mil to live with us. My mil is a very nice person but has MAJOR hoarding issues. She got kicked out of her California condo because trash covered every square inch of the place. She couldn’t get to two of her bathrooms or sleep in her bed because of it. Her poison of choice are containers. Any box, plastic container or anything that can hold stuff she feels like she needs to save.
We’ve been pretty good at throwing things away before she sees them. Lately though she’s been digging through trash cans, talking to neighbours or the gardeners if they have anything she can use. None of her kids including my wife have any interest in her. She was a terrible mother. I’m the last person in her corner (sort of) but losing major patience. She keeps it all in her room but it’s starting to pile up. Any of you have any suggestions?
