I’ve thought about that pass. I wonder if the outside receiver was supposed to
Break to the side line earlier and Retzlaff was throwing to Chase? It seemed like Chase slowed when he saw the other receiver. And had the other receiver broke to the side line earlier, it would have pulled the safety away from the throw. Would be interesting to know the exact play and how it was designed and to know who exactly Retzlaff was throwing to.
