I'm extremely conservative and hate risk. I like punting on 4th down
4th and 1 from the opponent's 40 yard line is a great place to punt, in my overly conservative view.
with a punter who can effectively nail that punt, it gives the offense a great shot at preserving good field position.
So, Belboz, you wanted BYU to punt when BYU went for it on 4th down against SMU and Mile Davis had a big run down the sideline?
Yes
If BYU had been behind, I'd have wanted them to try to convert, but that's a special circumstance.
Even if it's effective, I'm too much of a wuss to like it.
