feelings might be hurt. If someone continues that behavior into adulthood I'd realize they're holding onto dogmatic and divisive beliefs re: religion with all the fervor of any religious zealot, and I'd wish them the best and enjoy the football game.

Disagreeing with how someone does something is one thing. Not liking someone with whom you have no direct relationship or involvement or any obligation to just shows you're a person who doesn't like people.
