Retzlaff has even more upside, but, his performance week 1 and week 3 were solid. Week 2 was disappointing, but, better than either SMU QB.

We have faced 4 opposing QBs. Retzlaff outperformed all 4 of them by any objective five measure.

SATURDAY:

D, ST, and O all have significant need for improvement.

Penalties on O and D were a big issue Saturday.

We shanked another punt. We continue to return kicks that should not be returned. That kick 6 atoned Saturday.

RB1, RB2, and RB 4 were held out due to injury. RB 3 is ineffective between the tackles. RB 5 and RB 6 showed promise, but are true freshmen. Retzlaff was our leading rusher. This is why we get in 3rd and long.

Retzlaff needs to be more consistent which will be tough with no run support.

D let the opposing QB run effectively again. Poor passing QB missed open receivers again. A better passer would have gotten TDs.
