I never expected to.
K-State will give us a more realistic picture of whether Jake is the guy. He is going to be playing against a defense that is going to be much better and will offer a significantly smaller margin for error.
That said, he doesn't necessarily have to win vs K-State. He just needs to show that he can legitimately compete and put us in a spot to win any game against Big XII teams. IOW, he needs to look like a completely different QB vs K-State than he did vs Big XII teams last year.
