until the majority of the fan base and the school admin denounce the group that uses their brand as an anti-Mormon flag, there will always be problems like this. I don’t think it will ever change, however, because that group is a large part of their athletic fanbase ($$), and half the faculty is among the antis.

I know a lot of good people who went to the U or root for their teams. But as good as they are, they alway downplay the religious bigotry that goes on. I don’t completely understand it. But I honestly think they’re scared that without the anti crowd they’ll lose a big part of their financial support.
