A couple of decades ago, one of my clients was a professional gambler, who for whatever reason carried a briefcase full of cash. He owed me what I thought at the time was a lot of money, so opened up the briefcase and barely made a dent in the stash. I asked him how much money he had in there, as my eyes must have burst. He said, "$400k." I asked him why.

He said at the time he had just cashed out his chips at one of the casinos and was moving it to another. Yikes.
