is ALL about the money. "Research Institutions" is just a snooty way of saying we get handout $$ from the Federal Government! They love it! But, it's why they have to comply with the policies of whoever is giving it out. On the other hand, they have positioned themselves as the secular alternative to BYU and they want to cater to that base of people in the state of Utah. So it's money...but how do you stay secular with it comes from the church?

It is a funny dynamic to watch and to see these guys squirm in their chairs!!
