Adding makes you stronger and makes it easier to get the other teams you want.

UTSA (as an example) wasn't leaving the AAC for the PAC2.....but now they've established themselves as continuing to exist. So now they can make a pitch to UTSA or Memphis or USF or others they might want.

And if those still aren't interested? Air Force, UNLV, Utah St etc remain easy additions at that point
