I feel it's kind of weird I even have to say this out loud, but we need to be able to separate for the most part the way we live our religion, and how we look at leveling up our program (which will ultimately help visibility for our religion if we can climb back up to that top tier they have been at, at times in its history).
If anything, as part of our beliefs, we expect accountability if you really want to frame it in that way ... and we should also expect accountability from the football leadership. This is where the current coaches have struggled.
Retzlaff has fumbled 9 times and lost the ball 4 of those + 5 more int for a total of 9 to's in 6 games. That is astronomical for a single player. For contrast, Bohanon lost just a single fumble in the only full season he played (13 games vs 6)-- Retzlaff is on pace to lose 8+ during that same number of games!! Bohanon's int rate is also lower.
But Gerry had 9... let me say that again, 9 rushing TD's during that single full season at Baylor. Retzlaff is not near the runner GBo is.
