I think accountability is ALWAYS positive for a player that you actually WANT in
That job. If they can’t emotionally handle being held accountable for mistakes then being the QB at ANY major school is not for them. Period.

My brother’s HS program was run by a former and future college coach and the rule was simple—simple failure with good effort never got you benched, but if you missed an assignment or did something you’d been told not to do, you sat for the rest of the series. If you did it again you sat for the rest of the half. As a result they had won 7 of 10 state titles at one point.

Accountability works.

And that was HS. College kids are capable of dealing with it if HS kids are.
