unctoothman To extract or not to extract..
It's solid for cardiovascular health. It's reasonable from a nutrition standpoint WRT whole grain/GI benefits.
From a pure macros standpoint, it's fine but there are other things you can do that would be more potent.

But if you're looking for something that serves as a reasonable breakfast compliment to a well-rounded diet then oatmeal is not bad. Well at least not bad if you don't load it up with sugar or the like.
