That's probably true. Here's my reasoning.
People don't make money because they deserve it. They make money by forcing the hand of their employer to pay them more money. College basketball is a business and collectives aren't going to dish out money random. So look at Knell. He's been here for 7 years, married, all his friends are on the team, he's never had a reason to leave. So why would you give him more money if you don't think he has any leverage.

That being said, these are completely random guess. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Just trying to think about this logically.
