I got switched from an aisle to a middle after they switched aircrafts

It certainly wasn’t an equitable outcome, since I reserved the aisle seat well in advance. I did give the decision makers an earful, but to no avail

Is the middle seat comfort+? That is technically an “upgrade.” There is an option to opt out of upgrades to comfort+.

Yep. Fly enough and during the winter and your choices of "next available flight" are later that afternoon in economy
