1. KY and the staff aren't going to wait for guys to develop. They want to win now. It looks like the staff went through summer workouts, saw what the weakness of the team is, and went out and found someone to address that weakness. Bringing in a 22 year old professional feels like a win now move.

2. KY and staff are going to handle the team as if it's a professional team. There will be guys on this team that won't like how many minutes they get. But, think about it, what professional team allows bench players to dictate or demand minutes. NBA and g league teams sure dont. If someone doesn't get minutes, it's because they aren't one of the better players on the team. If they're going to complain and demand minutes then maybe it's best to let them go. I know it's not how college basketball has been handled in the past, but that's the reality of where college basketball is with the transfer portal and NIL. Coaches are running professional teams and that's what I believe KY and staff are doing.
