I’m a big BYU fan, but understand that as a long time, high school and college official I am also biased and view things differently. I look at this call, similar to offsides on a kick-off (There is almost always a few players slightly over the line when the ball is kicked-off) - It is very rarely called or supported by our reviewers. As a back judge on kickoffs I have to have a kicking team player with a foot down beyond the kicking line and the other foot also beyond before I even considering a flag. The exception being on a short kick/onside kick situation where it is tightly enforced due to the big advantage/disadvantage.
