The director of the BYU Marching Band was a high school band director in the south.
He can’t play the drums very well.
He has a masters degree.
He never marched Drum Corp. (professional marching band).
BYU is his only college experience.
There are a few people at BYU who could spice it up, but it’s going to take a while before the main guy leaves.
BYU doesn’t need to get rid of the marching band. They just need to make it more fun.
And stop playing popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
(Source- was in the marching band many moons ago).

I am not a big fan of marching bands, but if you get rid of the marching band, you are removing part of the soul of cfb
