Not only does it matter, it’s necessary for their success. I think BYU and other team fans tell themselves this to make
themselves feel better about the fact that most teams can’t get to that level. And that’s ok. But in the current format and with the sponsoring institution of BYU’s approach to athletics, BYU will NEVER compete for a title. We should be content with maybe getting a playoff spot occasionally, though not with the current staff imo
