What would be the reasoning? I think it would benefit out-of-state kids in favor
of Utah kids. Which I think is wrong considering it was built on Utah taxpayer dollars, and I'm not from and don't live in Utah.
I would like the option for my kids as a fallback though if they don't get into BYU, so they could still be close to BYU sports.
