However, this is a ranking based more on perspective than it is on reality, and there may be many coaches who look at signings like Demin and Catchings and think that there is absolutely no way that BYU is able to attract those players unless they have a massive war chest of NIL money to offer. There may be some truth to that line of thinking, but I also think it is a bit overstated and other factors (like Young being able to sell recruits on his ability to prepare them for the NBA) are also at play here.
