Not mine, but BIL ... from Afghanistan to Japan the long way around...
Afghanistan to Germany, Germany to New York, New York to Los Angeles, Los Angeles to Toyko, Toyko to his base in the north of Japan somewhere.

Travel time was 36 hours, 2 stops, and what was supposed to be 3 hours of layovers. Picked up an extra 1.5 hours
