It doesn't feel like he's super enthused with school, so if it doesn't look like he's going to get drafted (and I think he'd jump even if he's only projected in the 2nd round), I'm guessing he enters the portal to get more money and maybe find an easier academic situation where he can more or less ignore the academic side of things.

I could be totally wrong, that's just the feeling I get. Kanon wants to be a professional ASAP.
