Did this last night. It's only 1/2 mile round trip. It's up/down but so short that I wouldn't call it a "hike."
Toddlers in flip flops do it all the time. Also, it's more than 30 min from Provo.
BTW, Thursday at 6:30pm, wife and I were alone there for 20 minutes. It was nice...

Recommendations for my next hike? The only criteria are that its within about 30 min of Provo and less brutal than the Y

Rock Canyon. It's less brutal and you can stop and turn around whenever or power all the way up to the Squaw Peak road.
