To be clear, I thought there was a decent shot (maybe not more likely than not, but a shot) that Olson was better
Immediately, so that’s where I’m taking the L.
As far as contracts, Freeman was $162/6 and Olson is $168/8. But there was also a prospect capital to the Olson trade you’d have to factor in (they probably don’t miss Pache, but Shea Langeliers has been decent, and trading him lead them to trade for Sean Murphy and miss out on William Contreras, etc.).
I think I’d just rather have paid Freddie and make him a Brave for life.
